Hosts Whole Grains Educational Event in Twin Cities Casino
ATLANTA (June 17, 2008)—
The Research Chef Association’s (RCA) North Central Region will host their quarterly meeting at the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Minneapolis, Minn. on June 26th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. RCA members and non-members will gather to network, explore the casino kitchens, learn about trends in the whole grains market, and enjoy dinner.
Casino Executive Chef Richard Fisher will host the meeting and provide a back of the house tour, which will include the casino’s new food court, butcher shop, and production kitchen. The tour will be followed by an educational session on The Whole Grain Stamp, a special packaging symbol launched by the Whole Grains Council to indicate whole grain use in products to consumers. The session will be presented by Cynthia Harriman, director of food and nutrition strategies for the Whole Grains Council, and Chef Michael Holleman of Indian Harvest Specialtifoods.
The regional event will wrap up with a fabulous dinner by Chef Fisher that incorporates ingredients from sponsors Indian Harvest Specialtifoods, the California Raisin Board, Marathon Foods, and the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel.
